Badger Studio Swanage
About Me
Sue Maclean
I have always considered myself an artist, although for many years I only dabbled in my spare time. I did take a few classes here and there, which helped me develop my own style.
At the end of 2014, I moved to Swanage where I now had the time to dedicate myself to my passion. The beautiful scenery and dramatic light make this area a magnate for artists and there are several excellent art groups that meet here. I joined one of these and this has helped me to grow in confidence and ability. I have worked in acrylics and watercolour, both paint and pencils but my love is pen and pointillism.
I specialise in animals and birds and am now taking commissions, mainly for people's pets but I have also completed a number of commissions for other wildlife.
2017 was my first year exhibiting at Rollington Barns, during the Purbeck Art Weeks and I will be attending a number of other events throughout the year. Click on the events section for details. Besides original canvasses, I now produce a number of items using my artwork. These include blank greetings cards, coasters and prints of various sizes. All of which will be available for purchase at these events.
My prints are available for purchase on this site: click gallery for details
